    By Installation Type

    Fixed Drum

    Can rotate with the slewing mechanism. Example: luffing drum on a tower crane.

    By Functional Characteristics

    Single‑Layer Winding Drum
    Features a standard helical groove and winds only one layer of wire rope, resulting in low wear and long service life. Suitable for high‑precision lifting equipment.

    Multi‑Layer Winding Drum
